Italian snuff boxes are surprisingly difficult to locate. The examples that are known to exist usually have a strong French influence. Italy did produce many recognizable snuff boxes during the 19thcentury. These boxes usually have a micromosaic scene of country landscapes or animals. Better examples can be worth a few thousand dollars. However, most Italian snuff boxes top out at around $1,000.
